Justin Berlin

Production Designer
Justin Berlin was born in the greatest Port vintage of the 1960s. He grew up primarily in the Washington DC area, both town and suburbs. He was kicked out of his 6th grade class play because he disagreed with how it was being directed. His formal education continued with a BA in Philosophy at Haverford College and then a MFA from Columbia University Graduate School of the Arts in Film Directing and Screenwriting, where he studied with such luminaries as David Mamet and Emir Kusturica. He received a credit for his work in the Art Department of The Lunch Date, which went on to win an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. He served as a curatorial intern at the Museum of Modern Art in the Film Department, then as a publicist for the New Directors/New Films festival, and for many years at the New York Film Festival at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. His credits include Assistant Director, Director and Co-Producer on industrial and independent films. Aside from writing a feature length screenplay and working on independent film projects, he spends his days as a marketing and wine expert.
